Yes. Sessions 9 and 10 are dedicated to AI-powered BI. You’ll learn Microsoft Copilot for natural language report building inside Power BI, plus Claude AI for data analysis, DAX generation, and executive reporting outside Power BI. But here’s what makes our approach different: we teach AI after you’ve built the foundational skills (Sessions 1–8). This way, when AI gives you an output, you’ll know whether it’s correct, how to fix it if it’s not, and when it’s better to do the work yourself.

Absolutely — and this is the most important question to get right. AI tools like Copilot can generate DAX formulas from plain English, but they make mistakes. They get evaluation contexts wrong. They misinterpret relationships. They produce formulas that look correct but return wrong numbers. If you don’t understand DAX yourself, you’ll accept wrong answers without realizing it. Our course teaches you DAX thoroughly (Sessions 5–7) so that when you use AI to speed up DAX writing (Session 9–10), you have the expertise to validate, refine, and trust the output. AI makes fast work faster — but only if you know what “correct” looks like.

Claude AI (by Anthropic) is a general-purpose AI assistant that excels at data analysis, code generation, and turning complex data into plain-English narratives. We include it because Copilot only works inside Power BI — but real-world BI work involves tasks outside Power BI too: cleaning messy source data, writing SQL queries, debugging formulas, interpreting statistical results, and preparing executive summaries. Claude handles all of that. Together, Copilot (inside Power BI) and Claude (outside Power BI) give you a complete AI-augmented workflow. Session 10 teaches you when to use which tool — and when to rely on your own expertise instead.

No. We demonstrate Copilot features live during Session 9. For hands-on practice with Copilot in your own Power BI environment, you’d need a Fabric capacity (F64+) or Premium Per User license, but this is not required for the course. Claude AI is accessible via a free tier, so you can follow along with Session 10 on your own device.
